This day was specially established to recognize all human rights activists and to help promote human rights worldwide. December 10th was chosen as the official Humans Right Day because of the significant role this date has played in human rights history. On December 10, 1948, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights doctrine was adopted by the United Nations. This international cooperative recognition of the necessity of uniform doctrine to protect human rights has laid the groundwork for later activists to successfully advocate for better human right laws both domestically and internationally.

New Cultural Program Hamilton Park Nursing & Rehabilitation Center opened Asian Gardens at Hamilton Park in September of 2012. This program provides 24/7 translators, a separate authentic Chinese menu, prepared daily for lunch and dinner, and Mandarin speaking nurse management and physician services.
