Moishe has over 15 years’ experience in Geriatrics & the long term population, he is a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator for the past 11 years & has a strong reputation for leading his staff to ensure that all residents are provided with outstanding care & services while ensuring that Grandell is in compliance with all State & Federal regulations
Under Moishe’s direction, Grandell has grown into a successful Sub-Acute/Long Term Health Center. He was recently promoted to a Corporate Administrator position where he oversees Grandell & several other facilities.

Mary is a Registered Nurse with over 30 years of nursing experience. She has her Master's from New York University, and is Board Certified in Gerontology by the American Nurses Association. Mary strives to bring the best quality care to the residents and families of Grandell.

Hands-on clinical assessment and knowledge of each resident are essential parts of Mary's daily routine. She desires to lead the nursing department with compassion, confidence and dignity.

Allison Anchin

Allison joined the team at Grandell Rehabilitation and Nursing Center as Director of Admissions in 2007. As a licensed LCSW, Allison has over fifteen years of experience in the medical/geriatric field of healthcare. With her combined clinical and managerial skills, Allison enjoys the personal interaction with residents and their families as she assists them through the admissions process. She recognizes how difficult the transition can be for residents and families and is there to lend her support every step of the way.

Lovelina Nadkarni

Lovelina is a Board Certified Registered Dietician and the Chief Clinical Dietician at Grandell for the past 4 years. Lovelina has 40+ years of dietetic experience in hospitals and skilled nursing facilities. She is a Certified Diabetes Educator and has a background in teaching undergraduate and graduate students as Assistant Professor at Queens College.

Nicole Young
Rehabilitation Director

Nicole is a 2000 graduate of Bay Path College in Longmeadow, Massachusetts with a degree in occupational therapy. She has worked in a variety of settings including nursing homes, hospitals, out patient for adults and pediatrics, home care and schools.  Nicole has significant experience improving quality of life for patients with Alzheimer's/dementia. She assisted in starting the specialized amputee rehabilitation here at Grandell and expansion of the rehab gym.  Nicole is a pivotal part of the Keystone Amputee Support Group which gathers the first Monday of the month at 7pm. “My greatest reward as a therapist is to see my patients return home after achieving all of their mobility goals.”

 

Chris Raggi

Chris has been the Food Service Director at Grandell since 2008. For over 20 years, Chris has held food service positions in healthcare at such institutions as Massapequa General Hospital, Townhouse Extended Care and A. Holley Patterson. Passionate about good food and the health of his residents, and educated locally at both C.W. Post University and Queens College, Chris uses his knowledge base in public health to create menu options using predominantly whole, fresh foods, reminiscent of home-cooked meals, for our residents.

David Royster

David has been at Grandell for 7 years and has worked in our network for over 18 years. He is very knowledgeable and is always willing to extend himself to other areas of the facility. David also heads the Housekeeping Department at a local sister facility as well as other establishments in the greater Long Beach area. 

Jim Stamper

Jim has been at Grandell Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for 18 years in the maintenance department, the last 13 as the Director. Before coming to Grandell, Jim was the Superintendent of many apartment buildings here in Long Beach.

Magnel has over 24 years of experience as a Recreational Director in the geriatric field and has worked at Grandell Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for over 15 years. She has installed full time programs on all seven units and extended evening programs three times weekly. Her full time recreational staff has also been employed at Grandell for over 10 years which promotes the feeling of family and team-work for residents and their family members. Magnel and her staff collaborate on a monthly basis to produce  a calendar of events that provides a variety of programs to engage a diverse culture and addresses the optimal abilities of all residents while ensuring the best quality of life.
